Aggie
AGGIE
Meet Aggie!  Her first owner, Laura, bought her from an import shop to use as
a beach tote.  When that lovely summer ended, Aggie was relegated to the
basement where she stayed until she was found many years later by Laura's
little girl, Angie, who used her to store her Dawn Doll and its clothes.  (For
those of you who are too young to remember Dawn, she was like a Barbie
Doll, only smaller and with less personality.)  When Angie outgrew Dawn, she
put all of her fashion dolls in Aggie and stored her in the basement until one
day last year when Laura decided to do some cleaning and donated Aggie to
the local thrift store.  Now she's got a brand new lining, some
pretty cosmetic improvements and is ready to venture into
21st Century on someone's arm!
Aggie came to my studio as a woven basket.  Her only
adornment was a small cloth tag with the manufacturing
information on it in Chinese.

She has a brand new liner and is covered with a
reinforcement weaving of rag ribbon and needlepoint
tapestry appliques that are ZenDixie originals.

From her handle to her bottom, she stands 14".  The basket
area is 8.5 to 9.0" deep and she is approximately 12.7" wide
tapering down to 9.5" by  5.5 tapering down to 4.0".
