Flo
Meet Flo!  Back in the day she was a sun
worshipping babe who was stylin' with her pound
of wooden pink and orange buttons tied into
fringe around her top edge and handles and
pink cotton drawstring lining. She spent a couple
of summers soaking up the rays in Florida and
South Carolina before she was relegated to the
garden shed where she held trowels, seed
packets and bug spray until someone finally
donated her to a local thrift store.










Once we got her from under all of those buttons,
we saw a slightly lopsided faded beauty with a lot
of potential.  She got a wash all over in light
lavender that would let the pink show through to
her best advantage.  The lining was replaced
with a textured purple lycra, but we couldn't
resist keeping the drawstrings from the original.  
Stitched into three sides are yellow flower
tapestry patches and on the remaining side is a
lovely tapestry-stitched purple heart.
